Ontario is home to 3 out of 5 of our Great Lakes! According to the Great Lakes Surf Rescue Project there has been 1406 Great Lakes drownings since 2010!
Approximately 500 Canadians die each year in water-related incidents. In Ontario, drowning is the leading cause of preventable death in children aged 1- 4 and the second leading cause of death for children between the ages of 5-14.
iSUP Saugeen offers essential information and resources to help keep children and their families safe in and around the water.

We offer public speaking sessions and community workshops on a “pay what you can” or donation basis; making water safety education accessible to all families.
The main objective of the Region 7 Water Safety Campaign is to express our commitment to working with the region to promote safe boating practices and water safety within our communities and beyond!
Water safety is a critical issue that requires constant awareness and education. Fatal drownings are preventable through public education, practicing layers of protection, and life jacket awareness. As an act of community service iSUP Saugeen donates $1000.00 CAD + hst annually towards the Region 7 water safety campaign. The water safety campaign is a community fund that provides workshops and waterfront swim lessons to community members in need and also funds water safety public service announcements that are broadcasted on the radio.
The Region 7 water safety campaign is being broadcasted using BlackBurn Media Company’s 101.7 The One; reaching multiple communities throughout Mid-Western Ontario including Bruce, Grey, Huron, and Perth counties.
